The extremal convex bodies of constant width for the Minkowski measure of asymmetry are discussed. A result, similar to that of H. Groemer's and of H. Lu's, is obtained, which states that, for the Minkowski measure of asymmetry, the most asymmetric convex domains of constant width in R2 are Reuleaux triangles.  相似文献

Recent studies have demonstrated that gradient copolymers exhibit unique thermal properties. Although these properties can be determined by copolymer composition, other factors such as chain and sequence lengths and their distributions can also influence them. Accordingly, the synthesis of gradient copolymers requires simultaneously tailor‐made chain structure and thermal properties. In this work, we carried out a systematic study on the preparation of poly(methyl methacrylate‐grad‐2‐hydroxyethyl methacrylate) [poly(MMA‐grad‐HEMA)] with synchronously tailor‐made chain composition distribution and glass transition temperature (Tg) through semibatch atom transfer radical polymerization. First, a comprehensive model for simultaneously predicting gradient copolymer microstructure and Tg was presented using the concept of pseudo‐kinetic rate coefficients and Johnston equation. The model was validated by comparing simulation results with the classical reference data. Furthermore, the model was used to guide the experimental synthesis of the poly(MMA‐grad‐HEMA) gradient copolymers potentially as excellent damping material. Novel triblock copolymers having self‐complementary hydrogen‐bonding units were synthesized by using reversible addition–fragmentation transfer polymerization. As characterized by dynamic light scattering and atomic force microscopy, these polymers formed noncovalently crosslinked polymer particles and showed an aggregation behavior by intermolecular and intramolecular interactions. At low concentration, polymers formed nanoparticles, and the particle diameter increased with increasing polymer concentration. A strong anomaly in form of a wide peak in the energy range 300–800 GeV was discovered in the first measurements of the electron spectrum in the energy range from 20 GeV to 3 TeV by the balloon-borne experiment ATIC [1]. The experimental data processing and analysis of the electron spectrum with different criteria for selection of electrons completely independent of the results reported in [1] is employed in the present paper. New independent analysis generally confirms the results of [1] but shows that the spectrum in the region of the anomaly is represented by a number of narrow peaks. Measured spectrum is compared to the spectrum of [1] and to the spectrum of the Fermi/LAT experiment.  相似文献

Linearly polarized light from InGaN green light emitting diode grown on (0001) oriented sapphire is demonstrated by using subwavelength metallic nanogratings. Polarization ratio can reach 7:1 (∼88%), the highest ever reported from a single light emitting device. We discuss the design and fabrication of this device in detail.  相似文献
